Empowering transformation through embodied self-connection.
Hello and welcome.
Thank you for being here.
I’m Chaia, and I’m a mental health counselor, somatic coach, and group facilitator. I believe that everyone has the capacity for self-healing, and that meaningful change begins by bringing awareness to the thoughts, sensations, emotions, and patterns shaping your life.
Counseling with me is a collaborative experience that supports you in building a trusting relationship with all parts of yourself. Drawing from Gestalt therapy, somatic therapy, and parts-work therapy, we explore the different aspects of you with curiosity and compassion. My approach is mindful, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in nervous system regulation—with a dash of humor.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether you’re seeking healing from past experiences or longing for greater clarity and connection in your life, I am here to walk alongside you.
My Story
Like many therapists, my road to this profession began with my own healing. After living much of my life disconnected from my body, and over a decade using substances to numb and escape, I reconnected to my life force. I began to witness my thoughts as separate from myself, started listening to the wisdom of my body, and learned to trust my intuition. Now, I support others in doing the same.
I have over seven years of experience working directly with clients across crisis counseling, advocacy, coaching, and therapeutic settings. With a background supporting survivors of sexual and domestic violence, I have taught classes on healthy relationships, led workshops and webinars on embodied self-compassion, and facilitated groups including LGBTQ+ support groups and women’s circles. I am currently an intern mental health counselor in Washington state, completing a degree in clinical mental health counseling at Naropa University, with a concentration in mindfulness-based transpersonal counseling. I also hold certifications in crisis counseling, mind-body coaching, yoga, and pranayama.
